Setopati is organizing an EV Conclave on August 16th at The Hotel Soaltee. This event will focus on the current state of electric vehicles and their growing demand in Nepal. The program officially opened by Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel.
The first session, titled “EV: Present Situation and Future Innovation,” will feature a discussion led by prominent figures. Reporter Dilbhusan Pathak, Director of BYD Nepal Sahil Shrestha, CEO of CG Motor Hemant Agarwal, and electric vehicle expert Lokesh Oli will share their insights.
In the second session, titled “EV: No National Contribution,” . Former Finance Secretary Rameshwar Khanal, Environmentalist Bhushan Tuladhar, and Go Clean Energy President Rajan Rayamazhi will provide their perspectives. Journalist Sudeep Shrestha will facilitate this discussion.
The final session, “EV: Power Stability and Policy Consistency,” will address critical topics related to energy and policy. Finance Secretary Ram Prasad Ghimire, Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Kulman Ghising, and Managing Director of BYD Nepal Yamuna Shrestha will engage in a debate moderated by journalist Amit Dhakal.
