Bajaj Launches Chetak 3501 Electric Scooter in Nepal: First International Debut

Kathmandu, August 3, 2025 — Bajaj Auto has officially launched its latest electric scooter, the Chetak 3501, in Nepal. This marks the model’s first-ever international debut, making Nepal the first market outside India to welcome this new innovation.

The unveiling took place at a special event hosted at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu. With this move, Bajaj highlights its growing commitment to electric mobility across global markets.

Price and Booking Details

The Chetak 3501 is priced at NPR 3,24,900. Currently, bookings are open at the Chetak Customer Experience Zone located in Naxal, Kathmandu.

Designed for modern urban riders, the scooter offers a perfect mix of iconic Chetak styling and future-forward technology. As a result, it’s expected to appeal strongly to tech-savvy and eco-conscious users.

At its core, the Chetak 3501 features a 3.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering an impressive range of 153 km on a single charge. Moreover, it supports fast charging, reaching 80% in just 3 hours, which makes it extremely practical for daily commuting.

In terms of durability, the scooter comes with a full-metal body and boasts an IP67 water-resistance rating. Therefore, it is well-equipped to handle Nepal’s varying weather and road conditions.

Additionally, its floorboard-integrated battery design allows for 35 litres of under-seat storage, significantly improving rider comfort and utility.
