Nepal’s luxury automobile segment has gained one of its most exclusive SUVs with the arrival of the Dongfeng M-Hero 917 REEV at the 18th NADA Auto Show 2026. Dongfeng’s premium M-Hero brand focuses on high-performance luxury vehicles with strong off-road capabilities, and MAW Vriddhi has brought the M-Hero 917 to Nepal.
The M-Hero 917 stands out with its enormous proportions, aggressive styling and electrified powertrain. Most notably, the Nepal price is around Rs. 7 crore, placing it among the country’s most expensive SUVs. The model currently serves as a showcase at NADA, while MAW Vriddhi plans to begin sales from January 2027.
Powerful Three-Motor REEV Performance
The M-Hero 917 REEV combines a 65.8 kWh battery with a three-motor electric drivetrain. Together, the motors generate 600 kW of power and 1,050 Nm of torque. Furthermore, a range-extender system supports the battery when drivers need additional driving range.
The SUV delivers up to 156 km of electric-only range under WLTC testing. With the range extender operating, the claimed combined range reaches 825 km. Therefore, the 917 can handle daily electric driving while retaining greater flexibility for long-distance journeys.

Designed for Serious Off-Road Capability
The M-Hero 917 does more than deliver high power. Dongfeng designed the SUV specifically for challenging terrain.
Its M ATSM All-Terrain Intelligent System manages traction and power delivery across different surfaces. In addition, the SUV features Crab Walk Mode, intelligent wading sensing and front and rear differential locks.
The adjustable suspension can increase ground clearance from around 221 mm to 326 mm. As a result, the 917 can tackle uneven terrain, steep sections and obstacles with greater confidence.
Rugged Design Meets Premium Technology
The M-Hero 917 uses a bold, boxy design with wide wheel arches and a commanding stance. Its body-on-frame construction further reinforces its off-road character.
Inside, however, the SUV takes a distinctly premium approach. The cabin features multiple large digital displays and modern connectivity technology. Moreover, the combination of luxury equipment and rugged hardware gives the 917 a character that differs from conventional premium EVs.
