Yatri P2 Launched in Nepal: Price Starts at Rs. 3.29 Lakh
Yatri P2 is a Nepal-designed and engineered electric scooter built for urban travel and long-distance riding.
Yatri Motorcycles has introduced the P2, a new generation of electric scooter designed and engineered in Nepal. The P2 combines strong performance, connected technology and fast charging in a practical scooter package.
Built for Nepal’s roads, the P2 uses a mid-drive electric motor, high-current controller and chain drive. It also offers multiple battery configurations, allowing buyers to choose between performance, range and charging features.
Yatri P2 Performance
The top-spec P2 uses a 10 kW mid-drive PMSM motor. It produces up to 315 Nm of wheel torque and can reach a top speed of 90 km/h.
Yatri also uses a power-dense controller designed for continuous hill climbs. Therefore, the P2 focuses on maintaining performance on Nepal’s steep roads rather than only delivering quick acceleration in city traffic.

Multiple Battery Options
One of the P2’s key features is its configurable battery system.
The entry configuration uses a 3.0 kWh battery with a 6 kW motor. The middle option gets a 3.7 kWh battery and 8 kW motor. The top configuration combines a 5.2 kWh battery with a 10 kW motor.
Yatri also offers a 1.8 kWh range extender with compatible configurations. This helps increase the scooter’s overall riding range.
Fast Charging
The P2 supports both AC and DC charging. Yatri claims charging up to 80% in 41 minutes using its fast-charging setup.
The scooter can also be configured with a 2,000W rapid-charge onboard system. In addition, Yatri is developing its own charging ecosystem to make longer journeys easier.
Yatri’s first charging-network phase includes 35 charging stations across 15 destinations and four major routes. The company says the network is designed around routes connecting areas including Pokhara and Birtamod.

The P2 is more than a conventional electric scooter. It features a 7-inch programmable LED TFT display that provides vehicle and riding information.

The scooter gets a Class-D headlamp for improved night visibility. It also features fall detection, which can cut power to the drivetrain after detecting a fall.

Moreover, Yatri has continued to develop its own vehicle software, battery systems and charging technology. This gives the P2 a stronger local engineering focus.
Yatri and Sipradi Partnership
Yatri’s P2 program is also supported by its partnership with Sipradi Trading.
The two companies established a joint venture in 2024 to develop, manufacture and promote Yatri electric two-wheelers. Sipradi brings decades of automotive experience and a wider business network, while Yatri contributes its EV engineering and product-development expertise.

The Yatri P2 starts at Rs. 3,29,900 and is available with three battery options. The larger battery variants can also be equipped with an optional 1.8 kWh range extender.

The range extender is available with the 3.7 kWh and 5.2 kWh variants. It can add up to around 50 km of additional range. With the extender, Yatri’s official website lists a maximum range of 207 km.
Deliveries of the 3.7 kWh and 5.2 kWh versions for existing bookings are scheduled from mid-October to November 2026, while the 3.0 kWh version is expected from December 2026.
