Dongfeng Nammi Vigo E2 Price Drops to Rs. 35.99 Lakh in Nepal
Dongfeng Nammi has introduced a more affordable version of its electric SUV in Nepal. The Nammi Vigo E2 now comes with an introductory price of Rs. 35.99 lakh, making it a more competitive option in Nepal’s mid-range EV market.
The company announced the new pricing on August 19, 2026, ahead of the upcoming 18th NADA Auto Show 2026. The new E2 retains the core electric powertrain of the Vigo, including a 99 kW motor and LFP battery technology. However, Dongfeng Nammi has made a few equipment changes to achieve the lower price.
Most notably, the new E2 does not get a moonroof and comes with 17-inch wheels, compared with the 18-inch wheels offered on the older/higher-spec configuration.
Dongfeng Nammi Vigo E2 Price in Nepal
The new Nammi Vigo E2 costs Rs. 35.99 lakh under its introductory pricing.
Previously, the E2 was listed at around Rs. 38.99 lakh, while the higher-spec E2+ was priced around Rs. 41.99 lakh. Therefore, the new E2 represents a significant reduction compared with its earlier positioning.
| Variant | Previous Price | New Price |
|---|---|---|
| Nammi Vigo E2 | Around Rs. 38.99 lakh | Rs. 35.99 lakh |
| Nammi Vigo E2+ | Around Rs. 41.99 lakh | — |
The new price brings the Vigo into the highly competitive Rs. 30–40 lakh EV segment in Nepal.
What Is the Nammi Vigo?
The Dongfeng Nammi Vigo is a compact electric SUV developed by Dongfeng Nammi. The model is also known as the Nammi 06 in several international markets.
The Vigo takes a more SUV-oriented approach than the smaller Nammi 01. It features a relatively long wheelbase, high ground clearance and a spacious cabin, making it suitable for both city driving and longer journeys.
In Nepal, MAW Vriddhi handles the distribution of Dongfeng Nammi passenger vehicles.
Nammi Vigo E2 Specifications
The new E2 continues to use a relatively powerful electric powertrain despite its lower price.
| Specification | Nammi Vigo E2 |
|---|---|
| Motor | Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor |
| Motor Power | 99 kW |
| Battery | 44.94 kWh LFP |
| Claimed Range | Around 300 km WLTP |
| Drive | Front-Wheel Drive |
| Ground Clearance | 190 mm |
| Seating Capacity | 5 |
| Wheelbase | 2,715 mm |
| Boot Space | Around 500 litres |
| Wheels | 17-inch |
The combination of a 99 kW motor and 44.94 kWh LFP battery gives the E2 a good balance between performance and efficiency.
The 190 mm ground clearance also makes the Vigo suitable for Nepal’s uneven roads, speed breakers and rougher sections outside major cities.
New Nammi Vigo E2 Gets Several Equipment Changes
The lower price does come with some noticeable changes.
Dongfeng Nammi has removed some of the premium equipment found on the older/higher-spec Vigo configuration. The most noticeable change is the absence of a moonroof.
The new E2 also uses 17-inch wheels, while the older version came with larger 18-inch wheels.
| Feature | New Vigo E2 | Older/Higher-Spec Version |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Rs. 35.99 lakh | Around Rs. 38.99 lakh |
| Moonroof | ❌ No | ✅ Yes |
| Wheel Size | 17-inch | 18-inch |
| Motor | 99 kW | 99 kW |
| Battery | 44.94 kWh* | Larger battery available* |
| Positioning | Entry-level | Higher-spec |
These changes help explain how the company can offer the Vigo at a lower price while retaining its core electric powertrain.
However, buyers who want premium features such as a moonroof and larger wheels may still prefer the higher-spec version.
99 kW Electric Motor
The Nammi Vigo E2 uses a 99 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor.
That output is equivalent to roughly 132 horsepower. The motor drives the front wheels and gives the Vigo stronger performance than many entry-level EVs in the same price range.
The electric motor also provides instant torque, which should make the Vigo responsive in urban traffic and during overtaking.
44.94 kWh LFP Battery and 300 km Range
The new E2 uses a 44.94 kWh LFP battery pack.
Nammi claims a range of around 300 km under the WLTP testing cycle. Real-world range will naturally vary depending on driving style, traffic, temperature, road conditions and use of the air conditioner.
The use of LFP chemistry also offers advantages in terms of durability and thermal stability.
Meanwhile, the higher-spec Vigo E2+ uses a larger battery and offers a longer claimed range. This gives buyers the choice between a more affordable entry model and a higher-range version.
190 mm Ground Clearance
Ground clearance is particularly important for Nepali roads.
The Nammi Vigo E2 offers 190 mm of ground clearance, allowing it to handle speed breakers, uneven roads and rougher surfaces more confidently than many low-slung hatchbacks.
The model also has a 2,715 mm wheelbase, which contributes to its spacious cabin.
Furthermore, the Vigo offers around 500 litres of boot space, giving it enough room for luggage and everyday family use.
Exterior Design
The Vigo follows a modern electric SUV design.
Its exterior features a relatively clean front end, slim lighting elements and a crossover-style body. The model also uses aerodynamic design elements to improve efficiency.
The new E2’s 17-inch wheels distinguish it from the older higher-spec configuration, which used 18-inch wheels.
Despite the smaller wheels, the overall SUV stance remains largely unchanged.
Exterior Highlights
- SUV-inspired design
- 190 mm ground clearance
- 2,715 mm wheelbase
- Around 500-litre boot
- LED lighting
- Flush-style door handles
- 17-inch wheels on the new E2
- Five-door body
Interior and Technology
Inside, the Nammi Vigo follows the minimalist approach found in many modern Chinese EVs.
The cabin features a large central touchscreen alongside a digital instrument display. The model also focuses on connected technology and convenience features.
Depending on the configuration, Vigo equipment includes:
- Large touchscreen infotainment
- Digital instrument cluster
- Wireless smartphone connectivity
- Voice control
- 360-degree camera
- Connected-car functions
- Advanced driver-assistance features
- Automatic parking assistance
- Premium seating features on higher variants
However, the new Rs. 35.99 lakh E2 does not receive the moonroof available on the higher-spec configuration.
Nammi Vigo E2 vs E2+
The E2 and E2+ target slightly different buyers.
The E2 focuses on affordability, while the E2+ offers a larger battery and additional premium equipment.
| Feature | Vigo E2 | Vigo E2+ |
|---|---|---|
| Motor | 99 kW | 99 kW |
| Battery | 44.94 kWh | 51.87 kWh* |
| Claimed WLTP Range | Around 300 km | Around 350 km* |
| Ground Clearance | 190 mm | 190 mm |
| Wheels | 17-inch | 18-inch |
| Moonroof | ❌ No | ✅ Yes |
| Positioning | More affordable | Higher-spec |
*Specifications can vary according to market and configuration.
Therefore, the E2 makes more sense for buyers who want to keep the purchase price down. Meanwhile, the E2+ is better suited to customers who want additional equipment and longer range.
Why the New Rs. 35.99 Lakh Price Matters
The biggest story here is the price.
At Rs. 35.99 lakh, the Nammi Vigo E2 enters one of Nepal’s most competitive EV segments. Buyers can now consider it alongside models such as the Chery Q, BYD Atto 1 and Tata Punch EV.
The Vigo also has an advantage in terms of its SUV dimensions and 190 mm ground clearance.
More importantly, the new price makes the model around Rs. 3 lakh cheaper than its previously listed E2 price of Rs. 38.99 lakh.
That makes the Vigo E2 considerably more accessible to buyers who were previously priced out of the model.
Nammi Vigo E2 Availability in Nepal
MAW Vriddhi is the authorized distributor of Dongfeng Nammi vehicles in Nepal.
The new Rs. 35.99 lakh price is an introductory offer, making the timing particularly interesting because the 18th NADA Auto Show 2026 is scheduled for August 25–30 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
As a result, prospective buyers can expect the Vigo E2 to attract significant attention during the upcoming automotive exhibition.
Is the Nammi Vigo E2 Worth Buying?
The new Nammi Vigo E2 becomes considerably more attractive after the price reduction.
Its biggest strengths include the 99 kW motor, 44.94 kWh LFP battery, around 300 km WLTP range, 190 mm ground clearance and 500-litre boot.
However, the lower price comes with some compromises. The new E2 loses the moonroof and moves from 18-inch to 17-inch wheels compared with the older/higher-spec configuration.
Still, those changes may not matter to buyers who prioritize affordability, practicality and electric performance.
At Rs. 35.99 lakh, the Nammi Vigo E2 now sits in a highly competitive position. Its combination of SUV dimensions, useful ground clearance and a 99 kW motor makes it an interesting option for Nepali EV buyers.
With NADA Auto Show 2026 just around the corner, the Vigo E2 will be one of the models worth checking out for anyone shopping for an electric SUV under Rs. 40 lakh.
