18th NADA Auto Show 2026: Dates, Venue, Brands, EVs & What to Expect
The 18th NADA Auto Show 2026 is set to take over Kathmandu later this month. The six-day automotive exhibition will run from August 25 to August 30, 2026, at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall.
This year’s event also marks the Golden Jubilee year of the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal. As a result, the 2026 edition is expected to bring a strong mix of passenger vehicles, electric vehicles, two-wheelers, commercial vehicles and automotive technology.
The show will also follow the recently concluded NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, which ran at the same venue from August 11 to 16. However, the two events have different participating brands, giving visitors another opportunity to explore new vehicles before the Dashain buying season.

What Will Be Showcased at NADA Auto Show 2026?
NADA Auto Show 2026 will cover much more than passenger cars.
The exhibition will bring together:
- Electric cars
- Hybrid and ICE vehicles
- Electric scooters and motorcycles
- Commercial vehicles
- Locally assembled vehicles
- Auto components
- Tires and batteries
- Lubricants
- Charging infrastructure
- Insurance and financial services
- Automotive technology
- Spare parts and accessories
NADA’s official exhibition information describes the show as a platform for vehicle manufacturers, authorized distributors, component suppliers, financial institutions, insurance companies and technology providers.
Around 200 Exhibition Stalls
The 2026 edition is expected to feature around 200 exhibition stalls.
Official stall allocation data shows 19 passenger-vehicle brands, 10 two-wheeler brands and 17 light-commercial-vehicle brands. In addition, 76 smaller stalls have been allocated to around 45 auto-component and accessory companies.
This makes the show considerably broader than a conventional car exhibition.
Major Car Brands at NADA Auto Show 2026
Several major automobile brands are scheduled to participate in the event.
Based on the announced participation, the passenger-vehicle lineup includes:
- Tata Motors
- Suzuki
- Skoda
- Deepal
- Nammi
- Avatr
- Aion
- XPeng
- Dongfeng
- Riddara
- Geely
The participating brands represent a mixture of established manufacturers and newer EV-focused companies.
Tata Motors
Tata is expected to be one of the major attractions for visitors interested in electric and locally assembled vehicles.
The Tata Punch EV has already generated considerable interest in Nepal after its recent arrival. The standard-range Punch EV starts at around Rs. 34.99 lakh, while the long-range versions sit above Rs. 35 lakh. It offers a 25 kWh battery and around 315 km of MIDC range in its standard configuration.
Tata’s wider lineup also makes the brand relevant for buyers considering both EVs and conventional vehicles.
Deepal
Deepal, represented by MAW Vriddhi, will also be present at NADA.
The brand has already established itself in Nepal with models such as the S07 and L07. The company’s growing lineup makes its stall one to watch for visitors interested in premium Chinese EVs.
Nammi
The Nammi brand will also participate. The company has already entered Nepal with the Nammi 01, while its wider lineup includes newer electric crossovers.
Avatr, Aion and XPeng
The participation of Avatr, Aion and XPeng adds a premium technology angle to this year’s show.
These brands focus heavily on electric mobility, advanced driver assistance systems and connected-car technology. Therefore, their presence should give visitors a chance to compare newer Chinese EV technology with more established brands.
Two-Wheeler Brands at NADA 2026
The two-wheeler section will also be an important part of the exhibition.
Yamaha and Hero are among the major motorcycle and scooter brands scheduled for NADA Auto Show 2026. Their participation is particularly significant because motorcycle brands have been divided between the two major August auto shows.
Honda, Bajaj and TVS participated in the earlier NAIMA Mobility Expo, while Yamaha and Hero are scheduled for NADA. Royal Enfield is expected to have participation across the events.
Hero VIDA
Hero’s electric mobility lineup is particularly interesting for EV-focused visitors.
The VIDA VX2 entered Nepal earlier this year through CG Motors, with the Go and Plus variants targeting different price points and range requirements.
Visitors can therefore expect considerable interest around electric scooters alongside conventional motorcycles.
Electric Vehicles Will Remain a Major Attraction
EVs are expected to remain one of the biggest themes of NADA Auto Show 2026.
Nepal’s EV market has expanded rapidly, and manufacturers are increasingly competing through:
- Longer driving ranges
- Larger batteries
- Faster charging
- Advanced driver assistance
- Connected-car features
- Vehicle-to-load technology
- Better pricing
- Improved after-sales support
The government also changed the EV taxation structure for the 2026/27 fiscal year, which has affected prices across different power and price segments. Several manufacturers subsequently revised their Nepal prices.
As a result, the NADA show could become an important place for consumers to compare the latest prices and promotional offers.
Locally Assembled Vehicles Get More Attention
Another important theme this year is vehicle assembly in Nepal.
NADA President Surendra Kumar Upreti has said that the 2026 show will place greater emphasis on vehicles assembled in Nepal. The exhibition will also showcase the broader domestic automotive ecosystem, including spare parts, lubricants, tires, financial services, insurance and after-sales services.
This approach gives the show a broader industry focus instead of making it purely a vehicle-selling event.
NADA Auto Show vs NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026
Kathmandu is hosting two major automotive exhibitions in August. However, they are not the same event.
| NAIMA Mobility Expo | NADA Auto Show | |
|---|---|---|
| Dates | August 11–16 | August 25–30 |
| Venue | Bhrikutimandap | Bhrikutimandap |
| Organizer | NAIMA | NADA |
| Major Focus | Mobility, EVs and new launches | Automobiles, components and wider automotive ecosystem |
| Passenger Brands | Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, BYD, MG, Proton, etc. | Tata, Suzuki, Skoda, Deepal, Nammi, Avatr, Aion, XPeng, etc. |
| Two-Wheelers | Honda, Bajaj, TVS, KTM, Yadea, etc. | Yamaha, Hero and others |
| Commercial Vehicles | Yes | Yes |
The division of brands means visitors interested in the latest vehicles may want to attend both exhibitions rather than treating NADA as a repeat of NAIMA.

Why NADA Auto Show 2026 Matters
The 18th NADA Auto Show arrives at an important time for Nepal’s automotive market.
The country is seeing a rapid increase in EV adoption while traditional manufacturers continue to introduce new petrol, hybrid and locally assembled models. At the same time, buyers are becoming more interested in battery capacity, charging speeds, ADAS, connected features and ownership costs.
Therefore, the 2026 NADA Auto Show is more than an opportunity to see new cars. It provides a snapshot of where Nepal’s automobile industry is heading.
With 19 passenger-vehicle brands, 10 two-wheeler brands, 17 light-commercial-vehicle brands and dozens of component companies, the six-day event should offer plenty for both buyers and automotive enthusiasts.
Final Thoughts
The 18th NADA Auto Show 2026 is set to be one of Nepal’s biggest automotive events of the year.
From electric cars and scooters to SUVs, commercial vehicles and locally assembled models, the exhibition will bring a wide range of products under one roof. Furthermore, the event comes just before Nepal’s major Dashain buying season, making it an important opportunity for brands to introduce offers and attract new customers.
For anyone planning to buy a car, EV, motorcycle or scooter in the coming months, NADA Auto Show 2026 will be worth watching from August 25 to 30 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
