The Geely EX5 brings a 60.22 kWh battery, 160 kW motor and up to 430 km WLTP range to Nepal’s growing electric SUV market.

Geely EX5 Price in Nepal

The Geely EX5 price in Nepal starts at Rs. 59.99 lakh for the Pro variant. Meanwhile, the top-spec Max variant costs Rs. 69.99 lakh.

LRR Motors, the authorized distributor of Geely vehicles in Nepal, sells the EX5 in both variants. Earlier, the company had listed the Pro at Rs. 58 lakh and the Max at Rs. 68 lakh. However, LRR Motors later revised the prices.

Geely EX5 Price in Nepal

VariantPrice in Nepal
Geely EX5 ProRs. 59,99,000
Geely EX5 MaxRs. 69,99,000

Both variants use the same basic powertrain. Therefore, the higher Max price mainly reflects its additional equipment and driver-assistance features rather than a major performance upgrade.

What Is the Geely EX5?

The Geely EX5 is a five-seat electric SUV from Geely. In China, the model is known as the Geely Galaxy E5, while Geely uses the EX5 name in several export markets, including Nepal.

The SUV measures 4,615 mm long, 1,901 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall. Furthermore, it gets a 2,750 mm wheelbase, giving the EX5 a spacious footprint for a family-oriented electric SUV.

Geely also focuses on aerodynamic efficiency with the EX5. Its clean body design and smooth surfaces help the SUV achieve a low drag coefficient.

As a result, the EX5 combines a modern EV appearance with the practicality expected from a five-seat SUV.

Performance

The Geely EX5 uses a 160 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor mounted at the front. It produces 320 Nm of torque, giving the SUV strong initial acceleration.

Moreover, the EX5 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 6.9 seconds. Its top speed reaches 175 km/h.

Because the EX5 uses front-wheel drive, Geely focuses the setup on everyday usability rather than high-performance driving.

For city commuting, the instant torque should make overtaking and stop-and-go driving relatively smooth. At the same time, the SUV has enough power for highway journeys.

Battery and Range

The EX5 gets a 60.22 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery. More specifically, Geely uses its Aegis Short Blade LFP battery technology in the model.

Depending on the variant, the EX5 offers around 425–430 km of WLTP range.

That figure makes the SUV suitable for regular city driving as well as longer trips. However, real-world range can change depending on driving style, traffic, temperature, road conditions and use of the air conditioner.

Therefore, buyers should treat the claimed range as a testing figure rather than a guaranteed everyday range.

Charging

The EX5 supports both AC charging and DC fast charging.

With a compatible DC charger, the battery can charge from around 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes. Meanwhile, AC charging takes several hours for a full charge, depending on the charger used.

This fast-charging capability can be particularly useful for long-distance travel.

For example, a short charging stop can add a significant amount of range before continuing a journey. However, the actual charging speed also depends on the charging station and battery conditions.

Modern SUV Design

The Geely EX5 takes a clean and futuristic approach to SUV design.

At the front, the SUV uses slim LED lighting and a closed-off EV-style fascia instead of a traditional combustion-engine grille. In addition, the smooth body surfaces help create a more aerodynamic appearance.

The side profile looks simple and modern, while flush door handles add to the clean design.

At the rear, a full-width LED taillight gives the EX5 a distinctive appearance. Furthermore, the SUV gets a panoramic sunroof and electric tailgate depending on the variant and market specification.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the EX5 focuses heavily on technology.

The cabin features a 15.4-inch central touchscreen along with a 10.2-inch digital instrument display. In addition, higher-spec equipment can include a head-up display and premium audio system.

The EX5 also offers features such as:

  • Wireless smartphone charging
  • Voice control
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Ambient lighting
  • Electric seats
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Premium audio system
  • Electric tailgate

Moreover, the 2026 Nepal model received Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, giving users easier access to smartphone applications and navigation.

Spacious and Practical Cabin

Although the EX5 has a sleek exterior, Geely has not sacrificed practicality.

The SUV offers seating for five passengers, while its 2,750 mm wheelbase helps create useful passenger space.

For luggage, the EX5 provides around 461 litres of boot space. When the rear seats fold down, the available storage space increases substantially to around 1,877 litres.

Therefore, the EX5 can work as both a daily family vehicle and a longer-trip SUV.

Safety and ADAS

Safety also forms an important part of the EX5 package.

The SUV comes with six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, tyre-pressure monitoring and parking sensors. Additionally, the vehicle offers a 360-degree camera for easier parking and maneuvering.

The higher-spec Max variant adds more advanced driver-assistance equipment.

Depending on the configuration, these systems can assist with functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane assistance and other driving-support features.

As always, however, buyers should check the exact ADAS package offered in Nepal because equipment can vary between markets and variants.

V2L and V2V Charging

The EX5 also brings useful charging features beyond conventional charging.

For instance, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology allows the SUV to supply electricity to compatible external devices. This can prove useful during outdoor trips or when users need temporary power.

Furthermore, the EX5 supports Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) power transfer in supported configurations. Therefore, the SUV can potentially share energy with another compatible electric vehicle.

These functions make the EX5 more than just a vehicle for transportation.

Geely EX5 in Nepal

The EX5 gives Geely a strong presence in Nepal’s mid-size electric SUV segment.

At the same time, the model faces competition from several EVs that target similar price points. Consequently, its pricing, range and equipment become important factors for buyers comparing electric SUVs.

The EX5’s combination of a 60.22 kWh battery, 160 kW motor and up to 430 km WLTP range gives it a balanced package for everyday use. Moreover, its technology-focused cabin adds several features that appeal to buyers moving from conventional cars to EVs.

LRR Motors has also expanded its Geely showroom network beyond Kathmandu, with outlets reported in locations including Narayanghat, Pokhara, Biratnagar and Butwal.

Geely EX5 Price and Availability in Nepal

The Geely EX5 is available in Nepal through LRR Motors, the authorized distributor of Geely vehicles.

Currently, the EX5 Pro costs Rs. 59.99 lakh, while the EX5 Max costs Rs. 69.99 lakh. Both versions use the same 60.22 kWh battery and 160 kW motor, although the Max adds more premium equipment and safety technology.

Overall, the EX5 combines a practical SUV body with a strong electric powertrain, modern technology and a claimed range of up to 430 km. Therefore, it gives Nepali EV buyers another option in the increasingly competitive electric SUV market.

One Important 2026 Update

Geely has just announced a major upgrade to the Galaxy E5 internationally. The updated model moves to rear-wheel drive, an 800V architecture, a new 245 kW motor and new battery options. However, this is not the same as the current Nepal-spec EX5. The Nepal model currently uses the 160 kW front-wheel-drive setup and 60.22 kWh battery.

So, for a Nepal-focused article, I recommend keeping those new specifications separate unless LRR Motors officially announces the upgraded version for Nepal.
