Kathmandu (14 June 2024) — SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., the authorised distributor of Omoda vehicles in Nepal, and Nabil Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 29th Jestha 2081. The agreement is focused on providing EV financing for Omoda vehicles. As part of this collaboration, Nabil Bank will offer up to 80 percent financing on all Omoda electric vehicles. Furthermore, the facility will be available to customers nationwide through Omoda’s official dealer network.

This partnership aims to make retail financing more accessible for customers interested in Omoda EVs. According to the agreement, customers can access loan facilities from all branches of Nabil Bank. The bank will offer fixed interest rates: 9.99 percent for 5 years and 10.49 percent for 7 years. However, these rates may change based on Nabil Bank’s internal policy. With only a 20 percent down payment, customers can now easily purchase an Omoda electric vehicle. Moreover, the financing facility will be available across Omoda’s dealer locations, including Bhaktapur, Itahari, Birtamode, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Bardibas, and Birgunj. Other locations include Narayanghat, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, Dang, Dhangadhi, and Pokhara. The loan will follow all relevant directives and guidelines set by Nepal Rastra Bank.

SPG Automobiles is currently offering the Omoda E5 at a pre-budget price of NRs. 61.99 lakhs for the single-tone variant. The dual-tone version is priced at NRs. 62.49 lakhs. In terms of performance, the Omoda E5 delivers a range of 430 KM and has 180 mm of ground clearance. It also features a 99 kW motor. Additionally, the vehicle includes a Lithium Iron Phosphate Blade Battery and a Level 2.5 ADAS system, making it one of the most futuristic EVs in Nepal.
