Electric Revolution Hits Itahari: The Nammi Vigo EV is Here!
The electric vehicle landscape in Nepal just received a major boost. MAW Vriddhi Motors, the official distributor of Dongfeng Nammi, has launched the smart electric SUV—the Nammi Vigo—in Itahari. As a result, the mid-size EV segment now has a strong new competitor. The Vigo combines futuristic tech, practical driving range, and attractive pricing for Nepali buyers.
Additionally, the launch was led by Srijana Motors, the authorized dealer in Itahari. This ensures reliable regional sales and after-sales support for customers.
Power, Range, and Rapid Charging
Performance remains a priority, and the Nammi Vigo delivers well. It uses a 99 kW electric motor that provides instant torque and smooth acceleration. Moreover, customers can choose between two LFP battery packs, each offering a solid WLTP range:
- Vigo E2 (44.9 kWh): 300 km
- Vigo E2+ (51.87 kWh): 350 km
Most importantly, the SUV supports ultra-fast 3C charging (167 kW DC). With this, the battery can jump from 30% to 80% in just 18 minutes. This quick boost adds up to 114 km of range, which is a huge advantage for long highway trips across Nepal.

Built on Dongfeng’s Quantum Architecture Platform, the Vigo features a clean and modern design. Visually, it stands out with T-shaped LED headlights, 17-inch rims, a 190 mm ground clearance, and a spacious 500-liter trunk. Its dimensions—4,306 mm in length and a 2,715 mm wheelbase—give it a stable and roomy stance.
Inside, the cabin follows a minimal yet high-tech approach. It includes a 12.8-inch touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital cluster. Furthermore, the Vigo introduces several segment-first features, such as a Heaven & Earth Tailgate that supports 150 kg, exterior music speakers, and music-sync ambient lighting. Higher trims also offer heated, ventilated, and massaging seats, along with Level 2 ADAS for added safety.
Competitive Pricing for Nepali EV Buyers
The Nammi Vigo is aggressively priced to attract EV enthusiasts. The standard ex-showroom prices are:

- Vigo E2+: Rs. 4,199,000
However, the Itahari launch comes with special introductory pricing. The E2 is offered at Rs. 3,799,000, and the E2+ at Rs. 4,099,000. Therefore, the Vigo becomes an appealing choice for anyone seeking a powerful, feature-loaded, and intelligent electric SUV at a competitive price.
