The Electric Evolution Arrives: Lexus Unleashes the Stunning 2026 ES Sedan
Lexus is officially redefining the luxury sedan segment. The brand has revealed the redesigned eighth-generation 2026 Lexus ES, and it marks a major step toward an electrified future. Lexus describes the new ES as a sedan that “takes styling, luxury, and refinement to a higher level.” As a result, this model is more than a simple refresh. It is a bold statement that Lexus is ready to lead the electric era.
A Radical New Design Inspired by the LF-ZC
The 2026 ES takes strong design cues from the LF-ZC show car. Lexus removed its iconic spindle grille and introduced a sleek, unified “spindle body” design. This time, the flow from the hood to the bumper feels more natural and refined. This shift reflects the brand’s new identity as it moves deeper into electrification.
Under the surface, the redesigned ES rides on an updated TNGA GA-K platform. Thanks to this architecture, the sedan can now support both hybrid (HEV) and battery-electric (BEV) powertrains for the first time.
Two New BEV Variants Join the Lineup
The biggest news is the arrival of two pure electric models. The lineup now includes the front-wheel-drive ES 350e and the all-wheel-drive ES 500e.
In terms of range, the ES 350e targets an estimated 300 miles when equipped with 19-inch wheels. Meanwhile, the ES 500e aims for around 250 miles. Additionally, both EVs come with a built-in NACS port, giving drivers access to the Tesla Supercharger network. With fast charging, the battery can jump from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes.

A More Advanced Digital Experience
Inside the cabin, Lexus offers a major technology upgrade. The new ES features the latest Lexus Interface multimedia system with a large 14-inch touchscreen. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless connectivity.
In front of the driver, a 12.3-inch digital cluster displays essential driving information. Together, these features create a digital experience worthy of a flagship luxury sedan.
Expected Pricing and Release
The redesigned 2026 Lexus ES arrives soon. Overall, the model proves that electrification can blend perfectly with style and refinement. Lexus has not yet confirmed the official pricing. However, analysts expect the new ES to start slightly higher than the outgoing generation, likely between $45,000 and $50,000.
Looking ahead, the eighth-generation ES is expected to reach showrooms in Spring 2026, ready to set a new standard for luxury electric sedans.
