MG’s new Hector Tomahawk EV brings a 69.2 kWh battery, up to 517 km claimed range and 5- or 7-seat configurations, with the model already listed as coming soon in Nepal.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV Coming Soon to Nepal
MG is preparing to bring its latest electric SUV, the Hector Tomahawk EV, to Nepal.
The new SUV has already been launched in India and is based on MG’s new ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology) platform. It is the first MG model in India built on this architecture, which is designed to support multiple new-energy powertrains.
For Nepal, the Hector Tomahawk EV is already listed on the official MG Motor Nepal website as “Coming Soon.” The Nepal distributor has not yet announced its local price or launch date.
517 km Range From a 69.2 kWh Battery
The biggest highlight of the Hector Tomahawk EV is its battery and claimed range.
The SUV gets a 69.2 kWh LFP MAGIC battery, which provides a claimed range of up to 517 km on a single charge under India’s MIDC testing cycle.
The electric motor produces around 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a single electric motor setup.
The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 8.2 seconds, according to published specifications.

For faster charging, the SUV supports up to 90 kW DC fast charging. MG claims that charging from 30 to 80 percent takes around 35 minutes.
The vehicle also comes with a 7.4 kW AC home charger, with installation included as part of the standard offering in India.
5-Seater and 7-Seater Options
Unlike many electric SUVs that focus on five seats, the Hector Tomahawk EV is available in both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations.
The SUV measures 4,745 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,770 mm tall, with a 2,810 mm wheelbase.
The 7-seat configuration could make the Tomahawk EV particularly relevant for buyers looking for a larger family electric SUV.
Boot space varies depending on the seating configuration. With all three rows in use, the 7-seater offers 192 litres, which expands to 528 litres when the third row is folded. The 5-seater offers up to 610 litres of boot space.
A 15.6-Inch Display Takes Center Stage
The cabin of the Hector Tomahawk EV focuses heavily on technology.
One of its main highlights is a large 15.6-inch touchscreen display, accompanied by an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display.
The SUV also features MG’s i-SMART 3.0, offering more than 80 connected-car features.
Other technology includes:
- 39.6 cm Grand View Display
- GenAI-powered voice assistant
- Wireless charging
- Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

- Jio Sphere connected services
- Panoramic sunroof
- Powered tailgate
- 10-speaker Infinity audio system
The i-SWIPE system allows users to control functions such as air conditioning, fan speed, temperature and volume using hand gestures.
V2H Turns the SUV Into a Power Source
Another interesting feature is Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capability.
The system allows the vehicle to supply electricity to a compatible home setup, turning the SUV into more than just a means of transportation. MG also offers V2L functionality for powering compatible external devices.
The SUV also gets several dedicated smart modes.
These include Pet Mode, Valet Mode, Camp Mode and Energise Mode. Pet Mode, for example, can maintain the cabin temperature while the vehicle is locked.
Safety Features Include Level 2 ADAS
The Hector Tomahawk EV also comes with a range of driver-assistance and safety technologies.
The equipment list includes:
- Level 2 ADAS
- 360-degree camera
- Six airbags
- Electronic stability control
- TPMS
- ABS with EBD
- 24/7 battery management monitoring
MG says the MAGIC battery has gone through more than 2,000 bench tests and 490 vehicle validations as part of its safety validation process.

The MG Hector Tomahawk EV has not received an official Nepal price yet.
In India, the EV starts at INR 19.49 lakh ex-showroom when the battery is purchased outright. MG is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model with an introductory starting price of INR 13.99 lakh plus INR 4.90 per km battery rental.
